Before finding her, I worked with two or three different teachers and also experienced vocal coaching at the University of Southampton - a top rated university for music. "Olivia is the most incredible teacher I've ever had the joy of working with. As a total (very nervous) amateur it was my dream to sing on stage with my dad (he's a guitarist) who already performs in pubs. “I was initially drawn to lessons with Olivia when I found her website through Google, because she is an opera singer trained in classical "proper" singing and that is what I was looking for. We have been working together for 4 years now. My progress has been night and day compared to previous teachers I have had. “I came to Olivia for a few ‘emergency’ lessons because I'd been given a solo  in my choir and as my technique was very poor I didn't feel at all confident. 3 year's later I'm still learning so much from her and thoroughly enjoying our lessons! She's a fantastic teacher who is very knowledgeable and interesting, able to work with many different genres and encourages me to branch out of my comfort zone (but only at a rate that I can handle). She's not only helping me gain a solid technique that is building my stamina, tone and agility, but she's helped me so much with the interpretation and communication of songs that I would have never thought possible before.
